References Guide

Having a clear visual, fully colored (flat or shaded with local colors) reference of the character(s) you want me to draw will not only help me, but also help you!I also highly recommend using piccrews/doll makers, and in game character models if you cannot properly describe your character, or have no actual references.

Do not send me references with only lineart of the characters and/or black and white pictures with no color references, especially if you want your picture colored.

Characters Without (or with little) picture references:

All I need is a short description of your character’s appearance that will be easy to read. It’s so I don’t accidentally miss anything, and so you also don't forget small details.A small description of their figure, color pallet , what clothes you want them to wear, a little description of their personality, and the scene is what I want! I don't need a full on backstory to enjoy drawing your character.I recommend giving small doodles (bad or not), and or accompany with stock pictures to help further tell me how you want me to draw certain things.

Ideal example:

My character is 5’9ft with an hourglass shaped body and is fat with a tummy, she has small lightning shaped horns and a tail that ends in a small heart. Her skin color is a healthy tan color like this [color reference]. She has dark red hair that is tied in twin braids going over her shoulders. She has orange eyes and yellow sclera.The outfit I want her in is this [Picture reference/you are describing the dress + the colors and or patterns you want on it] outfit, jumping with her hands in the air. She has a bubbly personality and she has a bright smile.

Characters with pictures:

I would prefer references to have flat colors, and or with not too harsh lighting on a plain background if possible. This includes screenshots from games.
